Function: 

Forest County Children & Youth Services is a professional, county-operated agency that is committed to enhancing the quality of life of Forest County residents. The Agency strives to ensure the safety and well-being of all children while respecting the sanctity of "family". Forest County Children and Youth employees share a hope and vision of each individual becoming a motivated and productive member of a healthy, safe and caring community.

Office Location/Hours:

The office is located in the Forest County Human Services Building at 623 Elm Street in Tionesta. Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Services Offered:

The Agency provides a variety of services to children and their families, including general protective services, information and referral services, parent education, child abuse investigations, crisis intervention services, truancy prevention support, Cherish Your Child Baby Baskets, the Helping Hands Program, Housing Initiative services, independent living skills and programming. When necessary, the Agency also provides Court ordered placement services (via contract) and placement prevention efforts, including Family Group Conferencing, Multi-Systemic Therapy (via contract), Justice Works YouthCare, SWAN services and support.

Forest County Children & Youth Services has an Advisory Board that meets six times per year at 4:30 p.m. at the Forest County CYS building. Board members are listed below:
